West Busselton
Project Overview
Nestled along the coast in West Busselton, this home was designed for a growing family seeking a balance of generous living spaces and relaxed coastal comfort. The brief was to create a light-filled home that supports both entertaining and everyday family life, while responding carefully to climate and orientation. A modern fusion of barn and coastal design, the home is oriented to shield against harsh summer sun while allowing warmth and natural light to fill the interiors during winter months.

Our Role
This was a Design & Build project, delivered by SWBC in collaboration with FLOW Architecture. Working closely with the clients alongside our design team, we guided the project from early design through to construction. The build presented challenges around site access and the delivery of large open internal spaces, requiring careful planning and coordination. Predominantly timber-framed with select structural steel elements, the home required thoughtful sequencing to maintain efficiency without compromising design intent. Through collaboration and practical build expertise, we delivered a home that feels open, light-filled, and deeply suited to family life.
